The Astral Circle is a full-scale production company and artists collective born from a mutual desire to experiment in creative expression. In the summer of 2013 a group of artists came together with the aspiration to create new work. Twelve scripts were work-shopped before three were produced. In a collaborative effort, the group cast, financed, produced, filmed, and edited the nominated scenes while utilizing a wider network of artists in the community. The experience resulted in great enthusiasm and excitement to continue creating original content, without permission from the industry at-large. The Astral Circle was born from this ideology. No artist is pigeonholed into one area of expertise, but encouraged to brave into new territory in the field. The company’s first short film, Revelations, was completed in October, 2013. In the production of the film, each of The Astral Circle founders took on a new role in the filmmaking process. The Astral Circle continues to provide a home for artists to take their careers into their own hands.
